BOUTIQUE HOPPING AND TRENDY FINDS
New Born at Sea Brand
There is one must have brand this summer that stands out among all the others. TipsySkipper, a women’s line featuring fun and preppy totes, flats, clutches, key chains, and sandals, is ideal for summers on the South Shore and Cape Cod. Kearsley Lloyd, a Tabor Academy ’06 graduate, created the line (made entirely in the USA) which seems to be a new favorite among fashionable beachgoers, sailors, and anyone who loves the shoreline.
While the brand is relatively new, Lloyd says she is already planning significant enhancements to the current line of products and in the longer term, considering a men’s line. A major development has been the creation of custom TipsySkipper product lines for various organizations and clubs and a lovely collection for the new Ocean House hotel in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. TipsySkipper shoes, flip-flops and bags with Ocean House motifs are now sold in the hotel’s shop, accompanied by the signature TipsySkipper line of products at the Ocean House Home store in the village (so be sure to check them out if you’re visiting the Rhode Island area).
Of the entire TipsySkipper line, the “That’s a Croc’” tote is my favorite. All of the totes are very versatile—great to use as a beach bag but even better as a personal handbag or school bag. Other popular Tipsy Skipper prints include: “Pinch Me” lobsters for holidays like the Fourth of July; the “Looped” motif for brides-to-be; and “Starboard Tack,” Lloyd’s signature print, crosses all age groups and remains a favorite with chinos or white jeans.
