BOUTIQUE HOPPING AND TRENDY FINDS
Charity Guitar Raffle
Hitting their 30th year in business, husband and wife Mark and Sharon Cirone, owners of Cohasset Jewelers are celebrating in a charitable way. They have decided to raffle off a guitar signed by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith to raise money for the Magical Moon Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to helping children with cancer unite with one another to create a bond of brave young knights. The knights represent a bond of strength during their fight against cancer, in hopes that together they can build a healthy Earth Kingdom to help each other share joy through the battle.
This foundation is dear to both of their hearts as Sharon has been battling breast cancer for over 15 years. Knowing how tough it can be in adulthood, both Mark and Sharon find it hard to imagine a child facing such a battle.
A while back, Mark designed a Breast Cancer ribbon made from solid 14K yellow gold or sterling silver and is set with eighteen pink cubic zirconia stones that was inspired by his wife’s courage and strength in coping with her breast cancer diagnosis. Since its creation, Cohasset Jewelers has raised over $65,000 towards a goal of $100,000 ribbons sold, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support South Shore Hospital's cancer care programs.
After purchasing the guitar at a golf tournament fundraiser, Mark decided he wanted to re-auction the instrument to donate money to the Magical Moon Foundation through raffle ticket sales.
Out of 250 tickets, there are about 70 left. Each cost $30 and are limited one per person. The raffle will end this Saturday, July 28, around 1:30 p.m. as WATD will host a live show at Cohasset Jewelers to draw and announce the winner.
Stop by the store, or call to purchase a ticket for a good cause!
