Cabinets, Floors, and more...

It’s July and everyone is talking about the Idea Home! The July issue of South Shore Living Magazine is on newsstands now and has a fantastic 4-page story about the progress of the Idea Home, including photos. And WPLM-FM 99.1 is increasing awareness letting everyone know about the Idea Home and making sure everyone keeps an eye open for news of our October open house/reveal event, which will be free and open to the public.

With the septic system installed and inspected, the outer siding completed and the unfinished hardwood floors installed, we move to the kitchen with this week’s focus on the cabinets.

With help from Mid-Cape Home Centers’ kitchen designer Kevin Schlosser, we chose cabinets from Mid-Continent Cabinetry and couldn’t be happier with their attention to detail and customer-focused approach. Mid-Continent even has a technical support division where experts from the company troubleshoot any last-minute adjustments and they were kind enough to send Kevin Swallow, a customer service field technician, directly to the site of the Idea Home to work alongside cabinet-installer David C. Agnew, an award winning custom finish carpenter. Kevin also works with the research and development team at Mid-Continent to fine-tune their cabinetry line, reporting back with first had knowledge of anything that might need to be changed in Mid-Continent’s manufacturing process. Behind the scenes at Mid-Continent is Sandy Seidl who has been invaluable “making things happen” on our accelerated schedule and facilitating the ordering of much-needed items. With Mid-Continent, we definitely feel like we are in good hands and can’t wait to see the finished cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms!
