Easy Pie
A Build Your Own Business - Easy Pie's easily customized menu is sure to satisfy.
Pizza has always been a favorite among American families; a quick satisfying meal without much room for disappointment. Yet there is no question that high quality pizza can be hard to come by. When Spiros Stogiannis first came up with the idea for Easy Pie, he only had one thing in mind — gourmet pizza. As his excitement grew, so did his idea and he soon embraced an innovative menu that no customer could refuse.
Not your typical pizza house, Easy Pie offers a huge variety of signature burgers, salads, and subs in addition to their popular pizzas. Perhaps one of the most attractive aspects of the restaurant is that there is a build-your-own option for every variety of food they offer. Whether you prefer the traditional Margarita pizza or would rather venture to create a chicken, ham, broccoli, or Gorgonzola pizza with red peppers, the option is yours at Easy Pie.
When I arrived at Easy Pie, it was hard to ignore the striking décor. The shop’s interior is flooded with natural sunlight from the windows that cover the front wall. Off to the side, an intimate seating area is arranged, with a pizza dish stationed at every table awaiting the arrival of a hungry family. One artsy red wall stands out in brilliant contrast to the soft grays of the surrounding area. Sunlight streams in from the kitchen in the back, with three recess lights above the registers adding a modish touch to the only dim spot in the shop. From the steel utensil holders to the white and steel retro chairs, everything matches in an extremely tasteful manner. Easy Pie’s clean-cut look is a result of the owner’s graphic design experience in college. Who said people could only have one talent?
With such a large variety of food on the menu, it’s incredible to think that everything at Easy Pie is homemade. Prepared with a hint of garlic and generous olive oil blended with seasoned tomato slices, their Margarita pizza tasted like it could be prepared in Italy. The pizza is made with homemade sauce that seeps through the heaps of fresh mozzarella cheese. The lightly salted crust was perfectly crisp. Basil leaves were placed delicately in the pizza’s center and each large slice was topped with a strip of fresh oregano making it not only delicious but also visually pleasing. One signature pie is called the Beach Chair Pizza, which contains fresh mango-peach salsa, prosciutto, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese. Other unique pizza options include blue cheese, feta, and goat cheese, a range of meats, and gluten-free pizza dough.
Dripping with Swiss cheese and covered with grilled mushrooms, onions and peppers, and topped with crisp bacon and a hint of buffalo sauce, the Smoke Show Burger is another favorite among customers. Lightly seasoned hand-cut fries complement its tastiness. Similarly appetizing, is the Don’t Know Jack burger, consisting of a patty with a mound of pepper jack cheese, mango salsa, and jalapenos. These half-pound patties are the ideal size for a satisfying and scrumptious dinner. Turkey, portabella mushrooms, or chicken burgers are just as popular.
Easy Pie’s salads are also popular. Guests can choose a lettuce topped with a range of ingredients like pear, glazed walnuts, pineapple, kidney beans, homemade croutons, mango, steak tips, eggplant, and more. Signature salads can also be turned into a wrap. My meal ended with a S’more Dessert Pie, prepared with warm Nutella and marshmallow graham cracker that was a sweet finale.
Whether you’re looking to dine in or take out, Easy Pie’s cool setting and friendly workers make for a relaxing and enjoyable experience and for hungry diners, Easy Pie’s varied menu simply satisfies.
