EXPLORING THE SOUTH SHORE ONE BITE AT A TIME
Homemade Feast
Monday through Friday, Julia Lisinski serves up her healthy, homemade specialty foods like roasted salmon sandwiches, fruit and nut salads, and sausage and tortellini soup at her new Fresh Feast eatery. But when the weekend comes, things start heating up. From Friday evening to Sunday, Lisinski leases out the shop to “Lunchmeat BBQ,” a South Shore competitive barbeque team who has taken home titles in state, national, and world barbeque competitions. Under the name Auntie M’s, (a nickname for Michelle Taft who runs the team with her husband Gary and four others), the crew serves up their award-winning pulled chicken and pork, ribs, smoked chicken, wings and smoked turkey breast, and their second place world championship brisket. Sides include homemade baked beans, pickles, mac and cheese, and cookies. Customers can take-out or take a seat out on the back deck. Lisinski also offers full catering through the Fresh Feast. The best part—you can combine both menus to throw the perfect backyard bash.
