Rising fashion designer Emily Brennan’s stunning Red Sox inspired clothing designs are turning heads and winning awards. A Lasell graduate who grew up in Hingham, Brennan recently took home first place from her school in the Form To Fashion competitive fashion event hosted by The Natick Collection. The event, which took place on June 8th, showcased a range of clothing designed by students from Lasell College, Mount Ida College, and Framingham State University. Brennan’s prize—the chance to display items from her collection in the window of Neiman Marcus at the Natick Mall.
Brennan’s Believe Collection showcases a new trend in high fashion sportswear. Her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox, inspired her bold, brightly colored designs. Her most popular item is the “Spring Became A Summer” coat, made with navy and red stitching and navy buttons, which can be paired with a navy dress that has “red baseball stitch.” With the contest now behind her, Brennan hopes to soon have samples of her clothing at South Shore boutiques.
